Dr. Cui is a Sr. Director of Statistics at Eli Lilly and Company. He pursued an MS degree in Statistics and a PhD degree in Statistical Genetics from North Carolina State University. His research experiences include first 20 years in plant genetics and breeding, next 7 years in animal clinical trials, and recent 15 years in late phase human clinical trials and human health outcomes research using big data. Dr. Cui has authored two books, five book chapters, more than 100 journal papers, and over 100 conference abstracts in statistics, human health outcomes and economics, oncology, neuroscience, endocrinology, animal health, agriculture, genetics, breeding, pathology, entomology, and other fields. He co-developed and coauthored generalized propensity score matching and stratification methods which were incorporated into the methodological contributions supporting Prof. Guido Imbens’ work on the analysis of causal relationships, which won the Nobel Prize Economics in 2021.
